Old Florida, Rediscovered
That’s more than a tagline, it’s a mission statement. Our spirits are made predominantly with Florida agricultural products, that sounds easy, but in a state that is losing farmland to developers at a rapid pace, just finding the illusive remaining farmers who value quality over quantity, is a labor of love.
We utilize historical as well as cutting edge techniques to create flavors that are unique to our region. Wild yeast from Florida, native plants float over our open fermenters to impart terroir that you can only derive from this place. Grains with special adaptations to survive in Florida’s volatile climate carry flavors that you can’t find anywhere else. Double pot distillation retains all of that flavor and allows the consumer to truly taste “Florida in a glass”. We will provide rum, tangerine forward gin, rye whiskey and bourbon; when these products are adequately matured.
Our product labels each tell real stories of places and people who have played an important role in Florida’s history. With so much local history being lost, we felt compelled to truly “Rediscover Old Florida”.
We are currently renovating a 1915 building in downtown Brooksville. This is where we will open a unique speakeasy styled tasting room with prohibition era inspired cocktails and a laid back piano bar vibe. We plan to be open to the public in the next 12 months. Until then, you can find our products at local craft fairs and very soon in local restaurants by following us on Facebook and Instagram.
